The Throat Chakra Yoniflower calls for us to speak our truth. We need feminine voices to lead us into the new age.
The Yoniflowers are my personal symbol of Goddess magic. They are imaginary flowers, inspired by the beauty of real women’s Yonis. In Sanskrit, “Yoni” is a sacred word meaning “Divine Portal” and is used to describe the vulva.
Chakra Flowers depict our bodily energy centers as radiant “Yoniflowers,” emanating feminine power. The Chakra Flowers illustrate how the Sacred Feminine is present within every part of our bodies.
Gold has always held a special value for humans, due to its strength, beauty and energetic vibrations. Gold is said to attract bliss, heal imbalances and connect us to the Divine. In the alchemical tradition, gold symbolizes the actualization of consciousness into its full, enlightened potential. By incorporating 24-karat, pure gold leaf into these paintings, I have combined the energy of this sacred material with the vibration of my pigments and brushstrokes.
Chakra Yoniflowers are painted with watercolor pigments and india ink on 100% cotton paper. Each image is hand-embellished with real, 24-karat gold leaf foil. The paintings are created on square paper, measuring 15” x 15” with deckled edges and signed by the artist in graphite (see detail photos).
